The most significant event of 2015 was undoubtedly the completion of the tender and initiating of the general reconstruction of the Historical Building of the National Museum as well as the building of a connecting corridor between the Historical Building and the New Building. The consortium of the construction companies, Metrostav Praha, Průmstav Praha and IMOS Brno won the tender with a bid price of CZK 1.636 billion and the estimated time of implementation of 42 months. Together with this investment, works on the partial reconstruction of the New Building were also continuing. There were also the pre-project works and project works of the events planned to be realized in the next years. These include the reconstruction of the former military barracks to the shape of a depository of the Czech Museum of Music in Litoměřice, the revitalization of buildings of the Náprstek Museum in Prague, the construction of the Monument of Jan Palach in Všetaty, etc.
